Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers to the questions Boise and Treasure Valley homeowners ask most about handyman services.
Pricing & Estimates
Pricing depends on the scope of work—not a flat hourly rate. We provide written, project-based estimates so you know the cost before we start. Small repairs might be a few hundred dollars; a full day of bundled work will be more. No guessing games.
We price by the job or by the day for bundled work—not by the hour. This means you're paying for results, not watching the clock. You'll know the price upfront.
Yes. We provide clear, written estimates at no cost. You approve the scope and price before any work begins.
No hidden trip charges. Our pricing covers travel within our standard Treasure Valley service area.
If we find something unexpected—like hidden damage behind a wall—we stop, explain what we found, and give you options with clear pricing. You always approve scope changes before we continue.
We accept cash, check, and digital payments. Payment is due upon completion, after you've confirmed you're satisfied with the work.
For most standard repairs, no. For larger projects that require us to purchase significant materials upfront, we may request a materials deposit—and we'll discuss that before scheduling.
Scheduling & Availability
We typically schedule within a few days. For urgent repairs—like a broken door lock or a water-damaged ceiling—call us directly and we'll do our best to accommodate quickly.
Saturday appointments are available for select projects. Call us to discuss availability and scheduling options.
Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM, and Saturdays 8 AM to 2 PM. We'll confirm a specific arrival window when we schedule your job.
Not necessarily. Many clients provide access and we communicate via text or phone throughout the day. We do a walkthrough at the end, which can be done in person or via photos if needed.
We understand things come up. Give us as much notice as possible so we can accommodate other clients. Same-day cancellations may be subject to a fee for materials already purchased.
It depends on the scope. A single repair might take an hour or two. A full list of bundled tasks can take a half-day or full day. We'll give you a time estimate when we provide the project estimate.

Check weatherstripping on exterior doors, inspect caulking around windows, ensure exterior faucets are winterized, check attic insulation access, and address any deck or fence damage before snow. We can handle all of this in one visit.
Late spring through early fall—roughly May through September—offers the best conditions for exterior paint to adhere and cure properly in the Treasure Valley climate.
